Two minority-owned businesses that were significantly impacted by Covid-19 were recognized with grants by one of the city’s largest employers.
On September 17, Fiserv, Inc., a leading global provider of payments and financial services technology solutions, brought its Back2Business program to the city while recognizing the businesses.
In a special ceremony held Thursday morning at Coral Springs, Florida City Hall Grounds, Achsah’s Jamaican Restaurant and·Swirl Wine Bistro were honored with Fiserv’s $10,000 grants.
These owners received a monetary grant, complimentary business coaching, access to technology, and connection to local organizations and resources.
At the ceremony owners, Hyacinth Jones and Judith and Mike Able were joined by Fiserv Senior Vice President, Jim Kelly, Broward County Mayor, Dale Holness, Broward County Black Chamber of Commerce CEO, Shaheewa Jarrett, Coral Springs Mayor, Scott Brook, Coral Springs Chamber of Commerce CEO, Cindy Brief and Broward College President, Gregory Adam Haile.
Back2Business is a multi-pronged initiative to strengthen businesses through financial support, business expertise, leading technology solutions such as the popular Clover point-of-sale platform from Fiserv, strategic partnerships, and community engagement.
