
Coral Glades Boys Soccer Team. {David Volz}
As the regular soccer season winds down, Coral Glades High School celebrated Senior Night on Monday while hosting J.P. Taravella.
The Coral Glades boys soccer team honored seniors Sebastian Espinosa, Jayden Hernandez, Logan Mir, Matthew Tabares, Jaden Lloyd, Santiago Sánchez, Cameron St. Hilaire, Damari Lawrence, Dekari Lawrence, and Pablo Bedoya before earning a 3–0 victory over the Trojans.
Sánchez led the Jaguars with two goals, while Lloyd added another. Theo Helman Domingues De Oliveira and Delano recorded assists. In goal, Espinosa and AJ Greenfield combined for eight saves to secure the shutout, giving Coral Glades its ninth win of the season. The Jaguars will close out the regular season at Cypress Bay High School on Thursday, January 15, at 7 p.m.
J.P. Taravella dropped to 9-3-3 and will finish its regular season against Hallandale High School on Thursday, January 15, at 6 p.m.
The Coral Glades girls soccer team also celebrated Senior Night in dominant fashion, defeating J.P. Taravella 8–0. Seniors honored included Carla Barradas, Christa Reese, Jasmine Arroyo, Kyleigh Hearn-Ocampo, Brianna Mendez, Devinn Brown, Catalyna Paz, Elise Rickson, and Jeidyn Escobar.
Reese, Arroyo, and Mendez each scored two goals, while Mikayla Estrada, Sofia Cifra Hallberg, and Paz added one apiece. With the win, the Jaguars improved to 9-5 and will wrap up their regular season on Thursday, January 15, at 5:30 p.m. J.P. Taravella concluded the regular season winless.
