Sandy Ridge Sanctuary in Coral Springs {Google}
By Sharon Aron Baron
The City of Coral Springs has a back to nature program promoting the outdoors, local parks, and habitats.
Every second Saturday of the month through March 2022, participants will learn about wildlife, plant species, and conservation while visiting various parks throughout the city.
Robert Hunter, director of Parkland and Rec, said the program is an excellent opportunity to share information about their natural resources.
Sessions take place from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on the following dates and locations:
November 13 – Red Lichen Park
December 11 – Sandy Ridge Sanctuary
January 8 – Sawgrass Nature Center
February 12 – Community Garden/Food Forest
March 12 – The Atlantic Trailhead
The program is open to all ages; however, space is limited to ten people per group. Three groups will be available per date, so registration is required. Visit www.coralsprings.org/nature.
