A man with a history of stalking a Coral Springs homeowner’s association president–and who once allegedly poured a hot cup of coffee down the man’s trousers—was arrested last week while lying in wait for the community leader, court records show.
Nissim Hassan, 66, who lives in a condo at 4164 NW 90th Ave., in the Ramblewood East Condominiums, double-parked his 2005 blue Honda sedan outside the community office at 4139 NW 88th Ave. on Oct. 12, where he waited for a half hour, according to an arrest affidavit filed by Coral Springs Police.
Police were called by the victim, who was inside the community office and had a restraining order legally barring Hassan from coming within 100 feet of him or the office, the affidavit states.
The affidavit says the victim is the president of the Ramblewood East Condominiums homeowner’s association. Coral Springs Talk is withholding his name because records show he has been the victim of targeted harassment.
Hassan’s alleged stalking of the association president, documented in various court filings, goes back to at least 2014, records show.
In various court filings, Hassan has accused the condo association’s elections of being rigged and said the body unfairly targeted him.
The association previously sued Hassan for water damage to his unit, records show.
In July 2016, Hassan was arrested for allegedly hitting the stalking victim in his face, walking up behind him, and pouring hot coffee down the inside of his pants, according to an arrest affidavit.
The battery charge was later dropped by prosecutors, who pursued other criminal cases against Hassan. He has previously been arrested for stalking the condo association president and violating the injunction forbidding him from getting near the victim, records show.
He has also been arrested for domestic violence, records show.
In the most recent stalking case, Hassan was booked into the Broward County Main Jail and released on a $2,000 bond.
