Coral Springs Charter infielder Grace Derstine officially announced she will attend Warner University in Lake Wales.
Destine becomes the second player from the Panthers to commit after Bella Bertorelli announced she would be playing at Rollins college.

“The coach at Warner showed lots of interest in me, and when I went up to visit, it was a beautiful school,” said Derstine. “The coaching staff was awesome, and the facility is very nice.”
Derstine started playing softball at the age of five with the Coral Springs Panthers and fell in love with it from there. She bounced around through a couple of teams but ultimately ended up with the Boca Impact and CSC softball. Derstine has been on the varsity team since she was in eighth grade and won a State Championship. She has also helped the Panthers win 79 games, recorded 12 hits, and scored 13 runs under Coach Mark Montimurro.
“Grace is a wonderful young lady and teammate,” Montimurro said. “She will complement the Warner team and campus nicely. One of the best young ladies that I’ve ever coached.”
Derstine is set to join a team that won 24 games in 2022. Before that, she will have one more year left on the varsity softball team, which will start early next year. However, she hopes to improve her strength and have the ability to hit with more power.

Just a reminder… public school teachers HATE charter schools because they tend to show how bad pubic schools are….
