Kings and rooks alike are invited to make their move in a monthly all-ages chess event in Coral Springs.
PLAY Coral Springs hosts its monthly Open Play Chess meet-up on Wednesday, January 4, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Senior Sartory Center at 10150 NW 29th Street.
PLAY Coral Springs is a city initiative run by the parks and recreation department that supports activities in its recreational facilities. The group regularly brings awareness to free or affordable activities for local children, as well as family-friendly events for all ages.
The January gathering is the latest event in the Parks and Recreation Department’s 7-month open play chess program that’s open for all ages.
Participating in the Open Chess play is free, and registration is not necessary.
