A police investigation into a string of mail thefts from a Coral Springs post office led to the arrest of a 24-year-old man on Tuesday, police said.
Eric Mckinnie was arrested on a Coral Springs Police arrest warrant by Delray Beach Police, according to a post on the CSPD Facebook page Thursday.
For several months, CSPD detectives have investigated postal thefts from the United States Post Office at 3255 Northwest 94th Avenue, police said.
During their “lengthy and complicated” investigation, detectives developed probable cause to arrest Mckinnie on charges of grand theft, identity theft, and bank fraud, according to the Facebook post.
Mckinnie was being held at the Broward Main Jail Thursday on a $20,000 bond plus additional holds, records show.
Anyone with information related to the case is asked to email CSPD Detective Brett Schroy at bschroy@coralsprings.gov.
