A teenager was arrested earlier this month for beating two victims with a tire iron outside of Coral Glades High School in Coral Springs, according to court records.
Gray Hill, now 18, is charged with two counts of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon for his alleged role in the Oct. 5, 2023 assaults.
According to a probable cause affidavit, Hill and another student at the school waited for a fellow student in the parking lot, where Gray struck him with a tire iron on the side of his head.
A cell phone video obtained by Coral Springs Police shows Gray striking one victim multiple times while on the ground, the affidavit states. Another cell phone video shows Gray “acquiring a tire iron and striking [a victim] multiple times with the tire iron,” police wrote.
One victim said his necklace was broken during the incident, and his Gucci slides were stolen. A victim was also allegedly struck by Hill with the tire iron while trying to break up the fight, records show.
Hill, who was 17 during the alleged assault, was charged as an adult following his April 11 arrest, records show.
Coral Glades High School’s security manager identified Hill from the videos. Police said other students were also involved in the violence.
Hill was being held at the Broward Main Jail Friday on a $15,000 bond.
It was not clear whether any other students had been criminally charged in the incident.
