A Coral Springs masseuse was arrested following reports of sexual assault by multiple former customers.
Jonathan Schwartz, 42, of Coral Springs, a former masseuse at Elements Massage, has been arrested and charged with multiple counts of sexual battery and false imprisonment.
The arrest follows a series of disturbing incidents reported by multiple victims who allege Schwartz used his position to commit sexual assaults during massage sessions, according to police.
The Coral Springs Police Department initiated the investigation on April 30 after receiving a call from a victim who reported a delayed sexual battery on April 28 at Schwartz’s residence.
According to the police report, she had previously been Schwartz’s client at Elements Massage and had seen him several times before he left the establishment. After he was no longer employed at Elements, she scheduled a massage session at his home.
During the session, the victim claimed that Schwartz began to inappropriately touch her, starting with her quadriceps and then moving to other areas, according to the police report.
Despite her protests and attempts to sit up, Schwartz restrained her by placing his hand on her chest, telling her, “No, no, it’s okay.” She described feeling trapped and fearful of escalating the situation.
According to the police report, the victim detailed how Schwartz then used his finger to penetrate her, an act that lasted about five seconds before she could close her legs and say “No.”
She further recounted how Schwartz attempted to coerce her into performing oral sex, describing how he grabbed her head and tried to pull down his pants. According to the police report, she resisted. Still, Schwartz continued to force her hand onto his erect penis, leading to a non-consensual act that ended with Schwartz ejaculating on the victim.
Afterward, he provided her with a towel and continued the massage for a brief period, telling her she did not need to pay for the session.
The victim brought the clothes she had worn during the incident to the police. Crime Scene Investigators examined the clothing using specialized light sources, identifying a stain that tested positive for semen. This evidence and the victim’s detailed statement formed the basis for the charges against Schwartz, according to police.
As the investigation progressed, another victim came forward on May 6.
This second victim, also a former client of Schwartz at Elements Massage, described multiple incidents where Schwartz had crossed professional boundaries during massage sessions.
According to the police report, she detailed how he had touched her inappropriately during massages, including an instance where he reached under her underwear to touch her, highlighting a clear pattern of behavior.
Further investigation revealed Schwartz had been terminated from Elements Massage for failing to adhere to safety and draping practices. Additionally, two more complaints had been filed against him at the establishment, accusing him of inappropriate touching.
On May 15, the Coral Springs Police Department arrested Schwartz. He was transported to the Broward County Main Jail, where he is held on a $261,000 bond.
