Coral Glades Welcomes Gustavo Martinez as New Girls Soccer Coach

The Coral Glades girls soccer team has officially introduced Gustavo Martinez as its new head coach.
Martinez arrives at Coral Glades with extensive coaching experience in South Florida, including 14 years at Monarch High School. He spent nine seasons as an assistant before serving five years as the Knights' head coach. Most recently, Martinez coached Baile FC in the United Premier Soccer League.
“I’m extremely excited and grateful for the opportunity to become the new girls varsity soccer coach at Coral Glades,” Martinez said. “Taking over a new program brings a lot of excitement, but it also comes with a great deal of responsibility.”
Martinez has been involved with soccer for most of his life. He began playing at age 5 and competed for clubs throughout South Florida before playing at Piper High School.
Soccer has remained a major part of Martinez's life, and coaching has allowed him to stay connected to the game while helping young players develop both on and off the field.
“I’m looking forward to getting to know the players, building relationships within the school and creating a program that the girls, their families and the Coral Glades community can be proud of,” Martinez said.
