Coral Glades golfer Shannon Glynn has started the season red hot, taking first place in the Jaguars’ first two matches.
Facing Cardinal Gibbons and St. Thomas Aquinas, Glynn shot a 37 (+1) to finish seven strokes ahead of the field. She followed that performance with an even better round against Marjory Stoneman Douglas, firing a 33 (-3) and finishing with an Eagle at Parkland Golf and Country Club to earn another first-place finish.
Glynn is coming off a strong season in which she was named to the All-Conference Second Team. Head coach Tim DeLeuw says Glynn is ready to build on that success and embrace any challenge that comes her way this season.
“Shannon’s time is now,” he said. “This is her year. She has a season worth of scores to settle, and she is taking on all competitors. In all seriousness, Spirit Halloween is selling Shannon Glynn costumes this year because she is the scariest thing in high school golf right now.”
