Cookout Chaos: Man Hospitalized After Woman Strikes Him in Head With Metal Table Centerpiece

A Coral Springs cookout turned into a bloody scene after a woman allegedly struck a man in the head with a metal table centerpiece, sending him to the hospital.

According to a Coral Springs Police Department report, Terry-Ann Trishana Green-Shreeves, 42, was arrested August 22 and charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon involving domestic violence.

According to the probable cause affidavit, officers responded to a Coral Springs residence at approximately 7:30 p.m. after receiving a report of a domestic battery.

When an officer arrived, police said the male victim was covered in blood and “bleeding profusely” from a laceration to his head. The officer applied pressure to the wound until Coral Springs-Parkland Fire Rescue arrived and continued treating him.

Inside the residence, an officer reported seeing blood on the floors, walls, and furniture.

Police described the alleged weapon as a “heavy large metal squared object with sharp edges” that was capable of causing great bodily harm or death when used as a weapon.

The victim told police he had been cooking outside and asked Green-Shreeves for help before returning inside the residence. According to the affidavit, Green-Shreeves became angry after seeing him in the kitchen holding a meat cleaver and allegedly suddenly struck the victim in the head with a metal centerpiece from the dining room table.

Police said the victim began bleeding profusely throughout the home before Green-Shreeves took a child and left the residence in her vehicle. The victim was transported to Broward Health Coral Springs with a serious head wound.

Coral Springs officers later located Green-Shreeves near her mother’s residence and conducted a traffic stop. She was arrested and taken to the Broward Sheriff’s Office Main Jail.
