An artistic fundraiser supporting adults with autism is being held in Coral Springs.
The “Fill the List Benefitting Adults with Autism Fundraiser” takes place on Saturday, December 16, from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Tickets are priced at $20, with proceeds going towards MACTown Miami, a residential facility for adults with autism and intellectual disabilities.
Co-hosted by Debi and Craig London, the fundraiser features various artistic activities led by Debi and other art teachers.
Participants can make clay holiday ornaments, paint rocks, and decorate wooden nutcrackers. A unique feature of the event is the creation of a kindness mural, where attendees can contribute small, colorful self-portraits.
In addition to the art sessions, guests can enjoy hanging out with a therapy dog, a visit from a fire truck, a surprise guest, and raffles. The event promises to be a social and fun environment with chicken fingers and cake for refreshments.
An art teacher with over 30 years of experience in Broward County Public Schools, Debi specializes in working with special needs children, including those with autism.
Funds raised will be used to purchase gifts for residents of MACTown, enhancing their life skills and adult training programs.
Wings Plus is Located at 9800 West Sample Road. For questions contact MACTown.
