Mayor Scott Brook will lead the first “Move with the Mayor” series event, a community initiative to promote health, wellness, and community engagement.
The event, held on Wednesday, June 26, 2024, set to take place at Cypress Park from 7:45 a.m. to 9:45 a.m., will feature a pickleball session open to all residents.
According to the City of Coral Springs, the “Move with the Mayor” series encourages residents to stay active, meet their elected officials, and build a stronger sense of community. Whether you’re an experienced pickleball player or a complete beginner, the event promises an enjoyable morning for all participants. Pickleball is a healthy, low-impact sport that’s easy to learn and fun to play, providing an excellent opportunity to engage in physical activity.
This event will also allow residents to meet Mayor Brook and other members of the City Commission in a relaxed and informal setting, offering a unique chance to connect with neighbors and make new friends while enjoying an active morning in the park.
The pickleball session will take place on Court #1 at Cypress Park, located at 1301 Coral Springs Drive. Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable clothes and sneakers and bring their own pickleball paddle.
