Broward County Public Schools announced it has earned an A rating from the Florida Department of Education for the first time since 2011.
School Board members, including Superintendent Howard Hepburn, held a news conference with community leaders to commemorate the achievement.
The announcement signifies a significant comeback for the district. A press release announcing the news highlighted remarkable improvements across many of its schools.
According to the report’s data, in 2024, 98% of BCPS traditional schools either maintained or improved their grades.
Coral Springs Middle School was one of those recipients, having received an A rating for the first time since 2014.
“[This] is a testament to the unwavering dedication, hard work, and collaborative spirit of our entire school community,” said Principal Jill Slesinski.
