The City of Coral Springs recognized the September 11th Remembrance 5K Planning Committee for their efforts and dedication at making the event a huge success.
The Remembrance 5K was created to pay tribute to the victims of 9/11. The start and finish line is located by the 9/11 Memorial outside the NW Regional Library. Volunteers included: Jim Ambrose, Elaine and Serg Benjamin who were both 9/11 survivors, Andrew Mangini and Sue Rosenblum ,who sadly, lost her son in the World Trade Center.
Staff Members included: Frank Babine, Mike Hendricks, David Kirkland, Brad McKeone, Korey Meckes, Catia Rodriguez, Julio Roman, Paula Rubiano, Dee Scharf, Yuu Soubra, and Delia Wharton.
They also thanked the Coral Springs Firefighters who ran in full gear to honor the many public safety employees who were lost on 9/11: Robert Burns, Danielle Corp, Jason Montag, Mike McNally, Justin Parrinello, and Jonathan Robbins.
