Coral Springs Charter basketball picked up the season’s first win on Friday with a 55-52 victory.
It was the first win for Francis Thomas as head coach and also the team’s first victory since the playoffs in 2019 after CSC had no wins in 2020.
“They played outstanding basketball for four quarters, and I hope to build momentum for the next,” said Coach Thomas.
CSC previously scored a season-high 51 points in their opening game against Fort Lauderdale High School; They scored 48 in their loss to J.P. Taravella on Wednesday before recording 55 on Friday.
The Panthers have worked hard and are set for a solid second half of the season but not play again until January 4 at Marjory Stoneman Douglas with the holiday break coming up.
After winter break, they play West Broward, Coral Glades, North Broward Preparatory School Plantation, Coconut Creek, and Somerset Academy.
