The Coral Glades High School Chorus program has achieved success this year.
The Jaguars Mixed Chorus and Women’s Chorus both earned straight superior ratings, the highest ratings possible, at the Music Performance Assessment (MPA) on March 3 at Parkway Middle School.
The chorus was rated on tone quality, musical effect, and technical preparation.
“We achieved this result because we put in a lot of work and practice,” said John Luffred, Director of Choral Activities of Coral Glades.
On February 5, the Coral Glades Ensemble and Show Choir both earned straight superior ratings at an MPA at Coral Springs High School. Both groups will participate in a state assessment in West Palm Beach on April 14.
Juliana Wachs, a leader in the chorus who sings in all four groups, was proud of the program’s accomplishments. “I felt very excited, and I was glad we received this recognition. We all put in a lot of hard work in rehearsals,” she said.
