Coral Glades High School’s Student Government Association will welcome incoming students with its annual Jaguar Expedition orientation on Friday, Aug. 1, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The event is designed to help new students transition into high school by offering a comprehensive preview of the upcoming academic year. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m., and students must check in before 8:45 a.m. Entry will not be permitted after 9:20 a.m., and no refunds will be issued.
During the orientation, students will participate in workshops, tour the campus, and meet members of various clubs and organizations. Attendees will also receive their class schedule, textbooks, student ID, and lunch.
The $25 registration fee includes all orientation activities, lunch, a Coral Glades T-shirt, textbooks, and a student schedule. Same-day registration will be available for $30 (cash only) from 8 to 8:30 a.m., but T-shirts and schedules are not guaranteed for walk-in participants.
An optional parent orientation will be held at 9 a.m. in The Den, providing families with information on school programs and tips to support their child’s transition to high school.
Online registration is available from July 13 through July 29 at www.cghssga.com.
Organizers encourage Coral Springs families to spread the word to ensure a strong turnout for this year’s event.
