In honor of Earth Month, the City of Coral Springs invites residents to participate in various events throughout April that promote sustainability, environmental education, and community engagement.
Keep Coral Springs Beautiful Clean-Up
On Saturday, April 5, at 9 a.m., volunteers will spread out across various locations in the city for the Keep Coral Springs Beautiful Clean-Up. Participants will help collect litter and beautify public spaces. Lunch will be provided to all volunteers, and registration is required to join the effort.
Make Every Day Earth Day! At Northwest Regional Library
Residents can head to the Northwest Regional Library, located at 3151 N. University Drive, on Saturday, April 19, from 12 to 2 p.m., for Earth Day-themed presentations. Speakers include representatives from the Coral Springs Office of Sustainability, the City Tree Program, and the Happy Hoofers—Broward County’s chapter of the Florida Trail Association. Free take-and-make crafts, courtesy of the Coral Springs Craft Guild, will be available while supplies last.
Science & Sustainability Series: “Climate Change: Science & Solutions”
The Coral Springs Museum of Art will host a science lecture on Friday, April 25, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., at 2855 Coral Springs Drive. Meteorologist and climate scientist Dr. Nkosi Muse will present on climate change and how communities can build resilience. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., with the presentation starting at 6 p.m. The event includes vendor booths, light snacks, and beer and wine for purchase. Registration is required.
EarthFest at Sawgrass Nature Center

The city’s signature Earth Month celebration, EarthFest, returns on Saturday, April 26, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., at the Sawgrass Nature Center, 3000 Sportsplex Drive. The event highlights Arbor Day, Earth Day, and Coral Springs’ designation as a Tree City USA. Visitors can explore nature exhibits, browse local vendors, and learn about city sustainability initiatives. A native plant giveaway will be held on a first-come, first-served basis.
