In support of local youth, the Coral Springs Coconut Creek Regional Chamber has awarded $8,000 to eight area high schools, benefiting students involved in DECA (Distributive Education Clubs of America) and BPA (Business Professionals of America) programs.
Each high school received $1,000 to enhance these vital initiatives, fostering students’ leadership, business skills, and entrepreneurial thinking.
According to the Chamber, these programs are more than just extracurricular activities; they are shaping the future of tomorrow’s business leaders. DECA and BPA provide real-world experiences that prepare students to excel in competitive industries, whether it be in business, finance, marketing, or entrepreneurship.
In a statement, Cindy Brief, President and CEO of the Coral Springs Coconut Creek Regional Chamber, emphasized the importance of investing in local students.
“We are committed to investing in the future of our youth and fostering a strong foundation for their careers. Supporting these programs not only empowers students but also strengthens our community as a whole.”
This donation will benefit Atlantic Technical, Coconut Creek, Coral Glades, Coral Springs Charter, Coral Springs, J.P. Taravella, Marjory Stoneman Douglas, and Monarch High Schools.
Each institution will use the funds to support and expand opportunities for their DECA and BPA programs, ensuring students have the necessary resources to succeed.
The funds were made possible through the support of Chamber members and partners who believe in building a stronger future for the next generation.
