From the Coral Springs City Commission:
Spring is upon us and Coral Springs is blossoming with events and community happenings for all ages and interests.
The return of the Teen Political Forum will be held in person on Thursday, April 7 at the Coral Springs Center for the Arts. High school-aged students are invited to participate in this open mic-style forum to ask questions to state, county, and local elected officials about issues that are important to them.
Bites-n-Sips will take place on Friday, April 8 on the City Hall Lawn where residents will be invited to choose from a variety of delicious culinary creations from the region’s top food trucks and vendors.
Ready for some EGG-cellent family fun? Families can hop on over to Sportsplex Park on April 9 for the Hoppin’ Into Springs Egg Hunt. Children ages 3 to 8 who live in Coral Springs can enjoy an egg hunt, music, goodies, and, of course, a visit from the Easter Bunny! Pre-registration is required. Visit coralsprings.org/egghunt to register.
Coral Springs is excited to celebrate our Earth this month! From April 15 to April 30, we invite residents to stop by City Hall to view the winning artwork from our Recycled Art Contest. On April 23, residents can attend Earthfest at the Sawgrass Nature Center to enjoy free nature exhibits, plant giveaways, and more. For more information about events visit coralsprings.org/events.
April is Financial Literacy Month. Follow along on Coral Springs social media outlets for financial tips and insights from our Budget and Strategy team all month long. A smarter you makes a smarter community.
Lastly, we recently unveiled the newly renamed Walter “Skip” Campbell Avenue outside of City Hall. Family and friends gathered alongside former and current city leaders for the ceremony honoring former Coral Springs Mayor Skip Campbell. The renaming of this roadway is a tribute to his work and dedication to making Coral Springs better during his time as Mayor.
The next Commission meetings will take place on Wednesday, April 6 and Wednesday, April 20 at 6:30 p.m. Meetings are aired on CityTV, Blue Stream Channels 25, 25.7, 725, and on AT&T U-Verse channel 99. Meetings are also live-streamed at CoralSprings.org/CityTV.
