Coral Springs Football Teams Wrap Up Spring, Turn Attention to Fall Season

High school football teams across Coral Springs wrapped up their spring schedules with annual spring games and scrimmages and are now preparing for the start of the 2026 regular season.

Coral Glades enters the fall as the city’s top returning program after finishing 6-5 last season. The Jaguars held an intersquad scrimmage to conclude the spring and are coming off a year in which they defeated Coral Springs High School, J.P. Taravella, Coral Springs Charter, Marjory Stoneman Douglas, Stranahan, and Hallandale High School.

Coral Glades reached the postseason before falling to Miami Palmetto Senior High School. The Jaguars will open the 2026 campaign on Aug. 21 at Blanche Ely High School before traveling to North Broward Prep the following week. Their home opener is scheduled for September against Cypress Bay High School, and the remainder of the schedule includes games against Park Vista, Nova, Spanish River, South Plantation, Boca Raton, Boyd H. Anderson, and Marjory Stoneman Douglas.

J.P. Taravella squared off with Somerset Academy of North Lauderdale during the spring. The Trojans are coming off a challenging season in which their lone victory came against Pompano Beach High School, snapping an 18-game losing streak. Their previous win had also come against Pompano Beach during the 2023 season. Taravella will compete as an independent this fall.

Coral Springs High School also finished with one victory last season, earning a 40-7 win over J.P. Taravella in the regular-season finale to break a nine-game skid. After scoring more than 20 points only once all year, the Trojans broke through offensively in the season-ending victory.

Coral Springs Charter posted a 6-5 record and closed out its spring by taking on Parkridge Christian Academy, which was playing the first game in program history. Jacob Warren and Ramon Brayan each found the end zone for Parkridge Christian. The program will officially begin its inaugural season on Aug. 14 with a road game against Ida Baker High School before hosting Pompano Beach High School a week later. The home schedule also features South Miami, Boca Raton Community, Palm Beach Christian, and Somerset Prep, while road contests include Somerset Academy South Homestead, Northeast, Glades Day, NextGen Prep, and Marathon High School.
