
Matthew Wykpisz and Olivia Higgins top Coral Springs runners at the county meet. {David Volz}
Coral Springs High School received three Second Team All-Conference selections in cross country, with J.P. Taravella students being recognized as Honorable Mention.
Olivia Higgins placed second in both the District and Regional Championships before advancing to compete at the State level. Matthew Wykpisz, from the boys’ cross country team, earned recognition after finishing fourth at Districts and went on to compete at Regional and State championships. Logan Howe was also named a Second Team selection in bowling for the Colts.
Additional Honorable Mentions in bowling went to Luke Kruse, Enrique Soto, and Aracely Soto. In swimming, Kyra Agarwal earned Honorable Mention, and Marcus Gentilhomme was recognized in cross country.
At J.P. Taravella, all top student-athletes received Honorable Mentions, including Eddie James and Amir Sameem from the football team. The Trojans finished the season with a win against Pompano Beach High School, marking the school’s first victory in two years. Craig Dennis, Scardy Fils, Jahree Pierre, and Olivia Noel were recognized in cross country, while Cole Youngblood earned Honorable Mention in swimming.
