Coral Springs Middle School has recently demonstrated notable music, robotics, and drama achievements.
The school’s marching band performed at Universal Studios’ Macy’s Parade and Parkland’s Light up the Park event. Following these performances, they received a $2,000 donation from the Elk’s Lodge.
The CSMS Robotics team won nine awards at a district competition, with two teams qualifying for the state competition in March.
The CSMS Drama program performed ‘Willy Wonka Kids’ at their District’s Showcase and is preparing for the Florida Jr. Thespian Competition in Orlando in February, with eight performances scheduled.
Drama Troupe Director Thia Thomas expressed pride in the students’ hard work and eagerness to see them perform at the state competition.
“I am so proud of their hard work so far. I love watching them succeed and have fun on stage. We are taking over 30 students to the state’s competition, and I can’t wait to see them all shine.”
