Coral Springs Police need your help identifying an armed robber who stole money from a victim at a check cashing store last Saturday.
According to police, witnesses said that the suspect walked into the Check Cashing Store located at 8071 Sample Road at 9:27 a.m. with a dark black object pointed at the teller and threatened to kill everyone if she did not submit to his demands. The witnesses stated that the suspect seemed jittery and was last seen fleeing on foot, westbound through the plaza.
Video surveillance of the robbery showed the suspect walking into the store holding what seems to be a dark object pointed directly at the teller. The video shows the suspect making contact with her, then shortly after, snatching money from the customer side portal where $220 of one victim’s money was placed down. After realizing that the store employees were not cooperating with his demands, the suspect turned around leaving the store while placing both his hands inside the front pocket of his sweatshirt. Surveillance was also obtained of a possible suspect vehicle leaving the area shortly after the robbery.
Coral Springs Police asks for public assistance in identifying suspect. Please call CSPD Dispatch at 954-344-1800 with information.
