Coral Springs Public Works Earns Prestigious National Reaccreditation

The Coral Springs Department of Public Works has earned full accreditation from the American Public Works Association for the third consecutive time.

The accreditation recognizes the department’s compliance with nationally recognized management practices covering areas such as administration, engineering, fleet management, stormwater systems, water and wastewater infrastructure, solid waste management, and emergency preparedness.

“This achievement is a direct reflection of the dedication, professionalism, and expertise of our Public Works team,” Public Works Director Chad Maraj said in a statement. “Their commitment to continuous improvement and delivering exceptional service helps ensure Coral Springs remains a premier community for our residents, businesses, and visitors.”

APWA accreditation is awarded for four years and requires agencies to demonstrate continued compliance through regular reporting and a comprehensive reaccreditation process.

Coral Springs Public Works first earned the accreditation in 2017 and has maintained the designation through subsequent reviews. The city is among a select group of public works agencies in Florida to hold the accreditation.
