A high school student was arrested Thursday for allegedly sexually assaulting an under-aged girl over the weekend.
First reported by Channel 10, William Mendoza, 18, is a junior at Coral Springs High School, however, the assault did not take place at the school.
According to the police report, between 6 p.m and 7 p.m. on December 13, the 16 year-old victim met with Mendoza in the parking lot of the San Remo Apartments. Mendoza began to kiss the victim and made her get on her knees and perform oral sex on him. He then untied her pants, forced her to turn around and sodomized her, even though she repeatedly pleaded for him to stop.
The victim was taken for a sexual assault examination where evidence was obtained corroborating her account.
On December 17, Mendoza was taken into custody and charged with two counts of sexual battery. He has been released on $20,000 bond with electronic monitoring.
