Coral Springs Vice Mayor Nancy Metayer Bowen was shot and killed Wednesday in what authorities believe was a domestic violence incident, according to sources.
Her husband, Stephen Bowen, is considered a suspect and is in police custody after initially fleeing the scene. He was later apprehended in Plantation at the Landmark Towers apartment complex.
No additional details were immediately released. Coral Springs Police will be holding a news conference at City Hall at 5:45 p.m.
