The Coral Springs Craft Guild is continuing its decades-long tradition of supporting young artists by offering a student art scholarship to talented high school seniors in the community.
This year, the guild will offer 3 scholarships; One for $1,000 and two for $500 each.
Over the past 40 years, the guild has awarded more than $69,000 in scholarships to graduating seniors pursuing their artistic passions.
The annual scholarship recognizes creativity and encourages students to continue developing their talents beyond high school.
The opportunity is open to high school seniors with talent in any visual arts discipline. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or legal residents and either live in Coral Springs, regardless of where they attend school, including virtual school or homeschool, or attend one of the five high schools assigned to Coral Springs residents.
Students do not need to be enrolled in an art class or have formal art education to qualify, as long as they demonstrate artistic ability.
Eligible mediums include, but are not limited to, painting, ceramics, sculpture, pen and ink, clothing design, and digital art.
To apply, students must submit three examples of their original artwork, a letter validating the originality of their pieces, and a 200-word essay explaining how their interest in art fits into their future plans.
For more information or to request an application, students may email stephanie.kraft@att.net. Applications will also be available at participating schools.
The deadline to submit applications is April 22, 2026.
