Time to throw out those old documents because the City of Coral Springs and Coral Springs Police will be hosting their next shredathon, where items will be safely destroyed.
Keeping personal paperwork with account and PINs along with other sources of identification could lead to identity theft. Avoid becoming a victim and bring any personal documents on Saturday, Nov. 6, 2021, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
This free touchless shredathon event is for city residents.
Upon arrival, those who participate must place their drivers’ licenses on their front dashboard and are limited to 4 file-size cardboard boxes or reusable bins per vehicle. Plastic/garbage bags will not be accepted. Residents must ensure there is no trash or other items such as plastic or metal rings, binders, or clamps in the boxes.
Boxes and bins cannot be larger than 15 x 12 x 10 and must be in the trunk or in an area easily accessible to ensure no interaction with event staff.
The shredathon is a first-come, first-serve event; once the maximum allotment has been reached, no other paperwork will be accepted. In addition, no extra boxes will be accepted for donations.
Residents are required to place their drivers’ licenses on the front dashboard upon arrival at the event. The Sportsplex is located at 2575 Sportsplex Drive, Coral Springs. MAP
