Ella Coffee House celebrated its grand opening in Coral Springs on Saturday with live music, a visit from Miami Dolphins running back Raheem Mostert, and a large group of friendly customers.
Joey Melendez, a Coral Springs Charter School teacher, enjoyed spending Saturday morning with some friends at Ella.
“We love coming here. The atmosphere is great, and so is the food and coffee,” he said.
Adrian Martinez, who also teaches at Coral Springs Charter, loves the atmosphere and added that it is a good place to spend time with friends.
Miami Dolphins running back Raheem Mostert of Parkland, who is training for the pre-season, stopped and visited customers and staff.
“This a good place to have coffee and food. I like it here,” he said.
Paul Lalama, the general manager, was delighted to see a fantastic turnout for the grand opening. The first 100 customers were treated to complimentary coffee.
“We offer a variety of coffee flavors, sandwiches, and pastries,” he said. “We want people to have a good time here.”
According to Anthony Perera, the CEO of Ella, the restaurant’s goal is to be a casual place where people can spend time with friends over a cup of coffee and a pastry.
Ella Coffee House has four other locations: two at Hard Rock Stadium, Plantation, and Davie. Perera plans to franchise Ella throughout the nation.
The store’s hours are 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday. It is located at 4681 North University Drive in the Pine Ridge Square shopping center.
