To adopt a friend for life, the Humane Society of Broward County requires the following adoption fee.
- $135.00 for Puppies
- $100.00 for Dogs
- $50.00 for Felines under 6 months
- Adoption fee waived for Felines over 6 months
- $40.00 for second Cat or Kitten adopted at the same time
- $20.00 for Rabbits*
- $15.00 for Guinea Pigs
- $55.00 for Ferrets
This fee includes:
- Spaying/neutering for every animal, including puppies and kittens, before going home
- Treatment for fleas & ticks
- Preliminary vaccinations and de-worming
- Overall wellness check
- Heartworm test for dogs and Feline Leukemia test for cats
- Microchip and registration
- Complimentary bag of Purina ONE pet food
- Free pet behavior counseling
- 14-day follow-up care provided by VCA Animal Hospital
*Includes spay or neuter and microchip identification
