Groovy4Good’s inaugural Sweat 4 Shelter Pets fitness fundraiser drew a strong turnout and tangible results for local animal rescue efforts.
The event, held Jan. 10 at LuLu Fitness Kettlebell Studio, welcomed more than 55 registered participants along with local business sponsors and vendors. Attendees participated in a 30-minute kettlebell workout led by LuLuBFit, combining fitness with philanthropy to support shelter animals.
Organizers said the event raised more than $1,000, all of which was donated to UFAR Animals Rescue.
In a highlight moment of the afternoon, one attendee adopted a puppy from UFAR that was brought to the event.
Groovy4Good, a Coral Springs-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit, advocates for and supports local animal rescues through community engagement, education, and creative fundraising events.
Founder and President Rachael Chirichello said she was encouraged by the community response.
“I was extremely proud of the success of the event and can’t wait to plan our next one and continue Groovy4Good’s mission to encourage the community to choose rescue and adoption when considering a new furry forever family member,” Chirichello said.
Organizers said plans are already underway for future events to continue supporting local animal welfare organizations.
