Get ready, cookie lovers—Girl Scout cookie season is back!
Girl Scouts have been selling cookies for over 100 years, making it one of the world’s longest-running and most successful girl-led entrepreneurship programs.
The first known sale of Girl Scout cookies took place in 1917 in Muskogee, Oklahoma, and since then, the tradition has spread across the country.
In addition to providing delicious treats, the sale of Girl Scout cookies also helps fund troop activities and community service projects.
Beginning January 30 and running through March 2, 2025, the Girl Scouts across Southeast Florida will sell their beloved cookies at local booths, online, and through their Digital Cookie program.
Shoppers can find cookie booths at Publix, Winn Dixie, Walmart, Duffy’s Sports Grill, El Car Wash, Wendy’s, and other local businesses. Customers can also order cookies online through the Girl Scout’s Digital Cookie site, with options for home delivery, shipping, or donation.
To locate a cookie booth nearby, visit www.gssef.org, click “Find Cookies,” and enter your zip code.
This year’s lineup includes Adventurefuls, Thin Mints, Tagalongs, Trefoils, Samoas, Lemon-Ups, Do-Si-Dos, gluten-free Toffee-Tastic, and S’mores cookies.
However, this will be the final year for S’mores cookies, so fans will want to stock up before they’re gone.
Cookie prices remain at $6 per box, except for the gluten-free Toffee-Tastic and S’mores cookies, which are $7 per box.
The Digital Cookie platform allows customers to order and pay for their cookies online with a credit card. They can opt to have the cookies shipped, delivered by a local Girl Scout, or donated. Scouts can also generate QR codes to share with customers, making the purchase process quick and easy.
For the 17th consecutive year, the Cookies for the Military program will offer the chance to donate cookies to service members at home and overseas. Since 2009, more than 813,000 boxes have been sent to troops, and this year, the goal is to collect enough donations for 75,000 boxes.
