Start the holiday shopping early and support local makers at Coral Springs Fall Craft Shows.
“Four different craft shows are being held in October with something interesting for everyone,” said Stephanie Kraft, Chair of St. Elizabeth’s Craft Show and publicity chair of Coral Springs Craft Guild and Southern Handcraft Shows.
Coral Springs Craft Guild’s Craft Show and Holiday Boutique
The Coral Springs Craft Guild Show opens on Friday, October 6, from 5 to 9 p.m. at La Quinta Inn at 3701 N. University Drive. The “Preview Sale” Friday ticket is $3 or three canned goods that can be donated to a local food bank. The show is free on Saturday, October 7, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Celebrating its 45th year, the Coral Springs Craft Guild is historically the city’s first craft show.
“Kick off the holiday season early with fine handcrafts in Jewelry, Fall & Halloween Décor, Christmas decor and ornaments, Hanukkah items, wearables, Children’s Gifts, and home décor,” said Kraft, adding that the show features work exclusively made by the talented members of the Craft Guild.
The mission of the Coral Springs Craft Guild is to promote and share the love of crafting with the community through the shows and free programs and classes, Kraft explained.
St. Andrew Catholic Church Holiday Bazaar
The next show chronologically is the St. Andrew Catholic Church Holiday Bazaar on Saturday, October 7, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sunday, October 8, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., held at at the St. Andrew Catholic Church Social Hall at 9950 N.W. 29th Street Coral Springs. (One Block West of Coral Springs Hospital).
Explore various unique gifts, delicious snacks, and handmade crafts from local vendors. Concession stands and free coffee are available.
Southern Handcraft Society’s Coral Springs Chapter
Southern Handcraft Society’s Coral Springs Chapter opens its 28th Annual “Holiday Extravaganza” on Thursday, October 12, from 4 to 8 p.m., with a preview charge of $3.
Held at La Quinta Inn at 3701 N. University Drive, the show continues with free admission on Friday, October 13, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Saturday, October 14, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
This premier juried craft show will include unique, handmade Fall, Halloween, Christmas, and Hanukkah gifts and ornaments, jewelry, greeting cards, beach items, home décor, fabric crafts, and artwork, all handmade by Southern Handcraft Society members.
St. Elizabeth Ann Seton’s 28th Annual Craft Show and Rummage Sale
Last but certainly not least is the 29th Annual Craft Show and Rummage Sale by St. Elizabeth Ann Seton on Saturday, October 14, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Sunday, October 15, from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Held at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, at 1401 Coral Ridge Drive (across from Lakeview Plaza/Lakeview Publix).
“We have over 50 new and returning vendors displaying a variety of unique, 100% handmade crafts such as fabric arts, mosaics, children’s items, homemade chocolates, holiday decorations and ornaments, wreaths, beach decor, country crafts and home décor, pottery and more,” Kraft said.
Visitors can try their luck at Raffles for a Cash Prize, Lottery Tree, and Gift Baskets and enjoy Homemade Baked Goods at the Bake Shop.
The craft show’s popular “Granny’s Attic” Flea Market and Rummage Sale will be open on Saturday, October 14, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Sunday, October 15, from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the patio. The church parishioners donate many household items, including glassware, toys, appliances, jewelry, and collectibles.
Granny’s Attic market, raffle tickets, and bakery items are cash only. Vendors do accept credit cards. The event is free, and families with strollers are welcome.
