According to Kind Academy, which recently opened in Coral Springs, there is growing demand among parents for small schools that cater to children’s specific learning needs.
Located at 3266 Northwest 99th Way at Coral Springs Community Church, Kind Academy serves children who need a more personalized environment than a traditional classroom setting and require a specialized approach to learning.
According to Iman Alleyne, the school’s founder, the academy offers small group tutoring with hands-on learning, focusing on project-based learning and STEM. Students range in age from 5 to 16, and some are considered gifted.
“We focus on the unique abilities of students. Kids fill learning gaps as we give them freedom with limits to learn,” said Alleyne.
This is Kind Academy’s second location. The first opened about two years ago at 10649 Wiles Road in Coral Springs.
“Our big goal is to change the future of education to a more holistic approach,” said Alleyne.
Sarah Ieno, the director of the Kind Academy at the church location, is pleased to work with the children. “I love working here because we can meet the needs of every child,” she said.
The Coral Springs Coconut Creek Regional Chamber of Commerce welcomed King Academy with a grand opening celebration on August 27.
