Smile! Those who donate toys to Local 10’s Big Bus Toy Express may find themselves on the evening news for their good deeds because they’ll be stopping by Tropical Financial Credit Union in Coral Springs during their annual event.
This will be the sixth year the local ABC TV affiliate is teaming up with Big Bus Miami to collect new, unwrapped toys for the Marine Corps’ Reserve Toys for Tots program.
The Big Bus Toy Express will make various stops throughout Miami-Dade and Broward County starting at 6 a.m. in Kendall, finishing its route at Tropical Financial’s Coral Springs branch at 8947 W. Atlantic Boulevard between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m.
Residents are encouraged to come by and drop off unwrapped toys and meet Local 10 news anchors Kristi Krueger and Louis Aguirre, who will be doing live reports. The Encore choral group from Coral Springs Charter will take part in the festivities and sing holiday songs.
