A man walked into a CVS in Parkland and stole $450 worth of teeth whitening products because, well, Parkland.
The Broward Sheriff’s Office detectives are eager to have this white strips thief smile for their own mug shot so they’re asking anyone who recognizes the man on this surveillance video to identify him.
The thief was seen around 4:30 p.m. October 15 strolling into the CVS at 7621 N. S.R. 7 in Parkland. He walked directly toward the isle with the dental hygiene products and appeared to be browsing through the shelves as he talked on his cell phone with his accomplice. The suspect casually pulled a bag out of his back pocket and proceeded to fill it with more than $450 worth of teeth whitening products and toothbrushes.
A surveillance camera pointed toward the exit was rolling as his accomplice backed a gray or silver, older model Ford SUV into a handicapped spot in front of the store. Moments later, the suspect walked past the registers and exited the store with the stolen merchandise. He got into the accomplice’s vehicle, and they drove away.
The thief is described as a thin, white male in his 30s. He has short, brown hair and was wearing a long sleeve, gray shirt and long, black pants.
Anyone who recognizes the suspect or has information about the theft or the accomplice should contact BSO Detective Tony Hierrezuelo at 954-753-5050. Anonymous tips can be submitted to Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS (8477) or www.browardcrimestoppers.org.
A reward of up to $3,000 is available for information leading to an arrest.
