After one of the greatest seasons in Coral Springs Charter football history, wide receiver Mason Phillips was selected to participate in the prestigious Broward vs. Dade All-Star Game.
This game features the best football players from Broward County and Miami-Dade competing against each other.
Phillips, who recently completed his senior year on the varsity football team, recorded 56 catches for 1,131 yards to rank in the top ten in Florida. He also scored 13 touchdowns to lead the team to a record 5-5.
So blessed for this once in a lifetime opportunity to play in the Dade vs Broward showdown presented by @TheCribSouthFLA. Thank you to everyone that has mentioned my name to get me on the list, the glory goes to y’all… #beatdade @cscpanthers @CSCSFootball pic.twitter.com/OKx8yvgWv7

After not being selected at the start of the season, Phillips is extremely excited to test his athletic ability against athletes who are going to powerhouse Division I schools.
“Eventually, my name began getting thrown around by people who believed in me, and it reached the right people who then gave me a chance to compete against the best of the best in this game,” said Phillips.
While he has yet to commit to playing college football, this will give him another chance to play in front of many college scouts.
Kickoff for this game is set for January 8 at 4:30 p.m. at the Nathaniel “Traz” Powell Stadium in Miami.
