Heron Bay, one of the largest communities in Broward County held their groundbreaking ceremony for a new front entrance water feature, and along with it, comes many new improvements to the 3,100 home community.
On Monday morning, the board of directors along with Castle Management held the groundbreaking of the redesign of the south entrance water feature which has existed since the creation of Heron Bay 18 years ago.
According to David Silver, Vice-President of Heron Bay’s Homeowner’s Association, this improvement shows commitment by the community to make Heron Bay “look like it’s the best place to live in.”
He said that the board has granted the residents their wishes of modernizing Heron Bay to bring them the amenities that newer communities already have at a lower cost per average than others.
After receiving complaints about people waiting for gate access, the board of directors will be adding additional lanes for residents. Guests and residents will be able to use them, but they will primarily be for the residents.
Another improvement will be the opening of the new Hurricane Grill restaurant at Plaza Del Lago during 4th of July weekend which will serve a full menu.
The kid’s splash pad will also be getting updated with all-new aqua flex surfacing, additional triple spouts, cannons and triple bucket dumps. These are expected to be completed by the middle of July.
By 2019, the homeowners association will be taking over The Commons community clubhouse and will be enhancing amenities further by potentially providing additional tennis courts, a babysitting service, a full-service restaurant and an expanded gym.
It is important for Silver and the rest of the board to bring these projects to fruition so that “Heron Bay continues to be crowning jewel of the Parkland and Coral Springs area.”
