Northwest Regional Library {Broward County}.
A community service fair designed to prepare teens for the future is coming to the Northwest Regional Library.
On Saturday, May 24, The Pathways to Purpose: Teen Job & Community Service Fair will run from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Northwest Regional Library at 3151 North University Drive. Attendance is free for students ages 14 to 18.
Hosted by The Flow & Grow Foundation, the event aims to give teens, especially neurodivergent, a chance to engage directly with employers, participate in on-the-spot interviews, and walk away with real-world experience, confidence, and even a potential job offer.
“Pathways to Purpose was inspired by my experience as a mom of three teens trying to land their first jobs,” said Brittany L. Dexter, MSHE, founder of The Flow & Grow Foundation, told Coral Springs Talk, adding the service fair is about more than teens obtaining work, but experiences necessary to thrive.
“Many teens today don’t just need a job—they need genuine guidance and support. They often wait until after college to explore careers, not realizing they can start now in ways that match their interests and strengths.”
The fair will feature a wide lineup of employers and organizations that offer part-time job openings, community service opportunities, and mentoring programs, including Publix, Sprouts Farmers Market, We Rock the Spectrum, The City of Coconut Creek, and SoFlo Ninja Academy.
Dexter tells Coral Springs Talk that an additional important aspect of the fair is that many participating employers are neurodivergent-inclusive.
“We’re creating space where every teen is welcomed, seen, and given room to grow,” Dexter said. “ADHD, Autism, Dyslexia—these are not limitations. They’re simply different ways of thinking; many of our partners understand that.”
In addition to job opportunities, the event will launch the Bridge to Success summer workshop series, a free five-part program designed to help teens build essential life skills like communication, money management, time organization, and college prep.
Each workshop is interactive, led by experts, and carefully created to accommodate different learning styles.
“Our mission is to walk alongside families of neurodivergent children, offering emotional support, personalized guidance, and holistic programs that honor each child’s unique learning rhythm,” Dexter explained. “But while we primarily support families with neurodivergent children, we are inclusive to all students and families.”
Teens can sign up for the summer workshops at the event. Highlights include “Communication for Success” by Toastmasters, “College Prep 101” by Broward College, and “Executive Functioning for Success” led by Dr. Eric J. Nach of the Support for Students Growth Center.
