Pedestrian Dead After Being Hit with SUV in Coral Springs

A pedestrian crossing a busy intersection was killed after being struck by an SUV this morning.
According to Coconut Creek Spokesperson Scotty Leamon, at 8:03 a.m. on Monday, an adult male was attempting to cross westbound at 441 at W. Sample Road when he was struck by an SUV. The driver immediately stopped and was cooperative with police.
Sample Road is closed to 54th avenue during the traffic investigation. The eastbound lane is open.
