Governor Rick Scott made a pit stop in Coral Springs on Thursday and was met by an enthusiastic crowd of fellow Republicans.
Checking in at Wings Plus on Sample Road, Broward Republican Executive Committee members were ready with prepared signs and many of the governor’s supporters.
“I think it went great, and I don’t think we could get one more person in there,” said Wings Plus owner Brian Walsh. “It was a great crowd, an upbeat crowd, and everyone was really cordial and had a good old time.”
The event included speeches from RNC Co-Chairman Sharon Day, Mayor Vincent Boccard, and Commissioner Tom Powers. Watch Rick Scott’s Speech here.
According to Walsh, this was Scott’s fourth visit to Wings Plus, with Scott telling him that he was extremely pleased with the turnout and couldn’t thank him enough.
He added, “Scott is a brilliant man and is good for businesses. He really knows how to run a business.”
Walsh says he’s open to any candidate stopping at his restaurant and invites Charlie Crist back.
