A man was arrested for burglary, prowling, and possession of a stolen credit card after he was caught on late-night surveillance footage breaking into vehicles in Coral Springs.
On February 21, the Coral Springs Police Department responded to an emergency call from a residence near the 4300 block of Coral Hills Drive that reported two men had set off the caller’s surveillance cameras and were approaching the home. The emergency call came to the police just after two o’clock in the morning.
The arrest report shows the caller told officers the two men, one later identified as Sean David Sanabria, 18, of Deerfield Beach, were attempting to enter their vehicles and provided police a description of the alleged suspects before they exited the view of their cameras.
When officers arrived, they quickly spotted Sanabria and another man running Northbound near the 4300 block of Coral Hills Drive.
After a canvas of the area by multiple police vehicles, officers were able to apprehend both men and place them into custody for questioning.
While officers held the men, other officers viewed Ring camera footage confirming subjects fitting their description had attempted to open car doors that did not belong to them. They also looked into multiple other vehicle windows in an apparent search of valuables or keys.
The arrest report states during a search of Sanabria, a black Mastercard was found that did not belong to him.
Shortly after that, an officer located a wallet floating in a pool that contained an ID belonging to a person who lived near the location of the incident.
The report says officers, realizing the address on the identification matched a home merely 100 yards away, made contact with the owner of the wallet, who then discovered two of their vehicles had been rummaged through.
After reviewing multiple Ring cameras connected to the incident and interviews of witnesses and alleged victims, Sanabria was arrested and transported to the Broward County Main Jail.
The arrest report does not indicate what charges were yielded against the second man involved.
