South Florida Metro Diner Restaurants to Close Permanently Due to Coronavirus Shutdown

Metro Diner is closing the doors of its South Florida locations for good due to the coronavirus pandemic, managing partner Rick Lopez shared on Facebook Sunday.
Opening in March of 2017, in The Walk, Metro Diner served all-day breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
“A sad day for my team at Metro Diner. All of the South Florida Metro Diners were closed today, permanently. We all lost our jobs along with the closings,” said Lopez, who managed the Pembroke Pines location.
Deanna Bloom, managing partner of the Coral Springs location made an online announcement.
"It's official. We have closed our doors today. Permanently. (I know the sign says temporary) but it's forever. All Metro Diners in South Florida served their last guests today. This was such a great company in the short amount of time I worked for them. I will truly miss all of my Metro family.
Besides Coral Springs, the closure includes Tamarac and Pembroke Pines. Before today, Metro Diner had 67 locations, with 57 company-owned and 10 franchised.
