On Sunday, families, friends and neighbors are welcome to attend annual Coral Springs Veterans Day Ceremony where there will be a special tribute honoring the life of resident Joseph Schiro who died in Afghanistan.
Held at Veterans Park on November 11 at 10:30 a.m. Residents are asked to wear their patriotic colors and support those who served our country.
The ceremony will include speeches by veterans and politicians, a 21-gun salute, placing of wreath and raising of the military and United States flags.
The family of Joseph Schiro will be present.
The park is located at 8601 Royal Palm Blvd., just east of University Drive.
