A Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School student was slammed to the ground on his head during an attack caught on video Tuesday, the footage shows.
The victim was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries, according to Coral Springs Police. No arrests had been made in connection with the violence as of Wednesday morning, police said.
Video of the incident posted on Twitter and confirmed as authentic by police shows an unidentified attacker slamming the victim onto the pavement in or near a student parking lot. Other footage posted online shows kids striking the victim before he is picked up and slammed to the ground. The victim struck the ground head-first and appeared to lose consciousness. Several students tended to the motionless boy as other kids scurried around the scene, the footage shows.
In a Facebook post Wednesday morning, police said they responded to the report of a fight near the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School student parking lot at North Community Park around 3 p.m. Tuesday and were conducting a full investigation.
“We have detectives currently at the school speaking to personnel that was either at the location of the fight or with staff to try and identify the people involved,” Coral Springs Police Sgt. Ernesto Bruna told Coral Springs Talk Wednesday morning.
It was unclear whether the victim had been discharged or remained in the hospital. Police did not provide details about the type of injuries he suffered.
Coral Springs Police Detective James Kaban, the lead investigator on the case, has been “working on obtaining additional statements and information on identifying the people that were there during the fight yesterday,” Bruna said.
Anyone with information is asked to email Kaban at jkaban@coralsprings.gov.

arrest whoever did it and was an accompliance.
It shouldnt be too hard to figure out who the culprits are – expel them from school and put them away – especially the one who body slammed the victim on his head and continued to punch him – disgusted !!!!
