Authorities have identified an 18-year-old victim killed in a shooting on May 14 in Coral Springs.
Khameran Jackson, 18, of Dania Beach, was found suffering from gunshot wounds when Coral Springs Police officers responded to the 2500 block of Riverside Drive around 2:50 a.m. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
No arrests have been made in connection with the homicide investigation as of May 18, police said.
The fatal shooting prompted the closure of Somerset Academy Riverside for the day on May 14. Police said there were no threats to public safety beyond the homicide.
Authorities declined to provide additional details about the case, citing concerns that releasing further information could compromise the integrity of the ongoing investigation.
