A man was shot and killed in Coral Springs Thursday morning, police said.
The shooting happened around 2:50 AM in the 2500-block of Riverside Drive. Upon arrival, officers found an adult male victim suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Coral Springs Police.
The homicide investigation is active and no arrests have been announced.
The fatal shooting prompted the closure of Somerset Academy Riverside for the day, police said.
There are no threats to public safety and all lanes of travel in the area were open as of 9:45 a.m., police said.
